Restart your Nintendo Switch
This seems like a simple one, and you've likely already tried it. But it goes without saying that restarting your Nintendo Switch is the first step you should try when experiencing any performance issues.
To perform a hard restart, press and hold the POWER Button situated on the top-left of the console for a duration of 20 seconds. Afterwards, press the POWER Button once to initiate the console's power-on sequence.
Make sure your system and games are up-to-date

Check and Repair any Corrupted Data
To check if there is any corrupted data in the game you are having issues with, please:
- From the HOME Menu, select System Settings
- Scroll down the options on the left and select Data Management
- On the right-hand side select Software
- Then select the software title you would like to check
- Select Check for Corrupt Data
If corrupt data was found you will need to select the Redownload option and follow the instructions that appear.
Clear your Nintendo Switch Cache

Reinstall the problematic software
Sometimes crashes can be resolved by simply uninstalling and reinstalling the software that is crashing.
From the HOME menu:
- Select System Settings
- Scroll down the options on the left and select Data Management
- On the right-hand side select Software, then select the software you would like to manage or delete
- Select Delete Software
You can then either reinsert your game card and reinstall the game, or redownload the game from the eShop.
