If you are receiving the 'Host closed the connection' error, you may be having some connection or network issues.

The first thing we would suggest is to open your Network Ports.

You can do this by clicking here

DNS Flush

  1. Click Start and type the word Command in the search field
  2. Right-click the command prompt icon and select the option to Run as Administrator
  3. In the open prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns
  4. Retest your game

Disable IPv6

If your router is using IPv6, we would recommend disabling that option. To do this please go to your router settings and find the IPv6 option - it can usually be found in advanced settings - then disable it.

To do this on Windows 10:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on Network & internet
  3. Click on "Change adapter options"
  4. Right-click on the network connection you are using and select Properties
  5. In the list, find Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box next to it - if this box was already unchecked, please manually recheck it > OK > then manually uncheck it again.
  6. Click OK to apply the changes

To do this on Windows 11:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on Network & internet
  3. Click the Advanced Network Settings option
  4. Under the Related settings section, click the "More network adapter options" setting
  5. Right-click the network adapter and choose the Properties option
  6. Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) option - if this box was already unchecked, please manually recheck it > OK > then manually uncheck it again.
  7. Click the OK button

Once you complete the steps, the IPv6 protocol will no longer be available on the system. Although it's not a requirement, restarting the computer to ensure the changes apply correctly is a good idea.

If your IPv6 was already disabled, can you please try the opposite and enable it? To do this, please follow the steps above for your specific Windows OS but check the box next to "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" instead this time.

If this does not help, please try to reinstall the game and retest.

If you still find you are having issues with the 'Host Closed Connection' error message in Hell Let Loose after following these steps, please shoot us a message and we will do our best to help you resolve the issue.
