Occasionally, players have reported receiving errors when attempting to crossplay with friends on Overcooked! 2.

Here are some simple solutions that may help resolve this:

  • Make sure all players trying to play have enabled the Crossplay Branch (you can find how to do this here!)
  • Please make sure that all players in the party have the most recent drivers for their PC installed. For steps on how to do this:

  • Make sure that you are inviting players to your party using the Team17 in-game friend system and not the client's invite system
  • Please ensure everyone in the parties' NAT (Network Address Translation) is set to Open or Moderate - you may need to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or router manufacturer for information on how to perform these steps
  • If you are finding that you're struggling to invite your friends to play Overcooked! 2 with you through Steam, please make sure to invite them into the in-game lobby before entering any groups, voice calls or VoIP lobbies in your Steam overlay
